Spend a special evening with RisingSeniors as we celebrate Coach George O'Leary and his contributions to college football.  Coach O'Leary led the Ramblin' Wreck from 1995-2001.  During this time period, he is credited with bringing the Jackets back to national prominence and beginning the Jackets unprecedented 18-year bowl run.  He was ACC Coach of the Year in 1998 and 2000.  Moreover, in 2000, he would receive the Bobby Dodd National Coach of the Year honors.  His teams would produce five all-America players, including three consensus first-team selections, the 1999 Heisman Trophy runner-up, one academic all-America and 41 all-conference honorees.  It was during this time he recruited a Thomas County Central runningback and Georgia Player of the Year, Joe Burns (RisingSeniors Founder).  In 1998, as a Freshman, Burns would combine with now College Football Hall of Famer, Joe Hamilton, to lead Georgia Tech to a 10-2 Overall Record (7-1, ACC), ACC Co-Champions, Toyota Gator Bowl Champions, and a final AP Football Poll Ranking of #9.  Coach O'Leary would leave the Flats in 2001 and go on to build the University of Central Golden Knights Florida Football Program into national legitamacy.  His efforts culminated in a 2014 Fiesta Bowl Championship against Baylor.  He would retire one-year later in 2015.
